The Rundown on the We-Vibe Melt
- Incredibly intense sucking action
- High-quality silicone with waterproof construction
- Very quiet, but not silent
Look, eating pussy is work. Rewarding work, but it takes commitment.
Plus, you can’t do it to yourself. So we turn to technology.
Obviously, I’m not the only one with this feeling, because there’s been a boom in clit-stimulating air-pulse sucking toys. There’s a lot of them on the market, but We-Vibe has a reputation. For any cunnilingus lover (giving or receiving), the Melt seems like a product worth trying.

What Does the We-Vibe Melt Do?
Oh, it does exactly what it says it does – it sucks and vibrates. But that doesn’t begin to cover it.
The Melt is a very unique product, even among air-pulse toys. An organic ergonomic design makes it comfortable to hold in your hand, or to position between your legs or between your body and a partner’s.
The body-safe silicone exterior is smooth and comfortable. User reviews point out that the opening is larger than competitors, making it a good choice for larger clits.
We-Vibe uses Pleasure Air technology to power the Melt. Pleasure Air uses changes in air pressure, rather than conventional vibration, to stimulate the clit.
The Melt has 12 intensity levels. You can adjust using the buttons on the device or with We-Vibe’s app (more on that below). It’s rechargeable, using magnetic charging technology so the toy can be designed completely waterproof (no ports). Charging takes about 90 minutes, and We-Vibe says it will run 2 hours (though I haven’t used it that long – and I’m not sure how anybody could).
So How Does the We-Vibe Melt Perform?
I gave the We-Vibe Melt a try in a couple of contexts – with a cis woman partner, and with an AMAB non-binary partner. Because to really put a product to the test, you need to see it in different scenarios. Ahem.
We-Vibe’s Pleasure Air technology is truly next-level. It’s pretty quiet, but not “whisper quiet” like the site says. I wouldn’t use it in a library, but it’s not going to wake the neighbors (you might, though).
We-Vibe says the Melt is “perfectly shaped for couples play,” and they’re telling the truth. It’s worth mentioning that it takes some time to find exactly the right positioning. Plus, people with clits have clits of different sizes, so you have to take that into consideration.
But holy shit, when you find the spot, the Melt hits. Hits hard.
It’s not like a mouth – it’s like a robot that has no other programming but to make you orgasm. Incredibly intense orgasms. Squeals.
And in all honesty, after trying it out on my partner, I took some pointers from the Melt. We have a lot to learn from technology.
On the second test, my non-binary partner and I were engaging in some mutual masturbation play with toys (and a little THC-infused spray, which deserves its own review). I closed out with the Melt, wondering if it would be as effective in this kind of lower-touch situation.
I was not disappointed. Now, I was already warm, but the Melt took it to the next level in a few minutes – huge, bucking orgasms, one after another. This is the one thing I’ve ever tried that gave me a body-shaking orgasm without penetration. I can’t stress that enough.
One note: I did not use the app for the Melt, only the buttons on the toy. I’ve been disappointed with the app before with another toy – constant connectivity issues. Sometimes technology does let you down.
Should You Buy the We-Vibe Melt?
Do you like clitoral stimulation? Do you want back-bending, out-of-body orgasms?
If clit stimulation does it for you, the Melt is going to rock your world. If you think clit stimulation alone doesn’t do it for you, you might try the Melt anyway. Maybe it wasn’t your clit holding you back, just the way you’ve been working it. And the Melt works it.
